Exact-Med offers a competency-based, on-line, open enrollment training in which students begin monthly. This model has proven to be very successful in training medical transcriptionists who are ready for employment. Exact-Med’s comprehensive medical transcription training program is approved by the Approval Committee for Certificate Programs (ACCP), a joint committee established by AHIMA and AHDI to approve medical transcription education certificate programs. AHIMA and AHDI acknowledge the ACCP approval committee as the process to identify quality medical transcription education programs that have been evaluated by a peer review process against a minimum set of standards. This process allows academic institutions, healthcare organizations and private companies to be acknowledged as offering an AHDI Approved Medical Transcription Certificate Program.

"Choosing Exact-Med/UTTC for this training has been the best decision I could have ever made for myself. As a full-time employed MT and graduate, everything they advertised in this course has come true in every way. Their curriculum was thorough, the instructors were outstanding and the training I received was more complete than I even realized until I became employed as an MT. It was absolutely challenging, and though many times I was ready to run screaming from the building, they were with me every step of the way. I stuck with it because of their fabulous staff and I now reap the benefits of their impressive collective experience. As busy as they always were, they always managed to make me feel encouraged and valued as a student. As a full-time MT, the biggest surprise of all to me was that the employment arena was EXACTLY like the training I received with Exact-Med/UTTC. "I definitely would recommend Exact-Med and I actually already have. I picked this course because it looked to be the most in depth and would therefore give me the best chance at finding a job. Halfway through the program I was thinking it would never end, but by the time I reached the end, I was thankful for all of the practice reports I had completed and felt confident entering the workforce. All along, I really felt that all the instructors were there for me and wanted me to do my very best. The response time to e-mails and the grading of coursework was very fast. Lynelle, who graded most of my work, was very consistent in her grading. This helped me to finally correct mistakes I was making over and over.
