Program Overview

Exact-Med/UTTC Transcription Training is a very unique program, and one a few like it in the country. We offer an open enrollment, competency based type of training. What that means for our students is that we take students in on a monthly basis, work individually with each student until they have reached the industry standards and then assist in employment once the student has reached the industry standards.

As our program is competency based, the student does not complete the training until they are able to transcribe acute care medical dictation with an accuracy of 98%. Most employment opportunities are available to those who can transcribe the more difficult types of medical dictation.

Exact-Med/UTTC Transcription Training is one of a few programs which has been given the AHDI (Association for Healthcare Documention Integrity) Program Approval. This means that our program meets the industry standards and the guidelines established by AHDI. Education Approval Program. and offers a medical transcription program that offers the student the best opportunity to get the best training available.
