Exact-Med/UTTC Transcription Training is a very unique program, and one of a few like it in the country. We offer an open enrollment, competency based type of training. What that means for our students, is that we take students in on a monthly basis, work individually with each student until they have reached the industry standards, and then assist in employmentplacement once the student has reached the industry standards.
As our program is competency based, the student does not complete the training until they are able to transcribe acute care medical dictation with an accuracy of 98%. Most employment opportunities are available to those who can transcribe the more difficult types of medical dictation.
Exact-Med/UTTC Transcription Training is only one of a few programs which has been given the AHDI (Association for Healthcare Documention Integrity) Program Approval. This means that our program meets the industry standards and the guidelines established by AHDI (Education Approval Program). Exact-Med's medical transcription training program offers true-to-life experience, which in turns gives our students the opportunity for success in employment.

Note: Students must purchase all required textbooks and software. Each student must have a Windos compatible computer with Microsoft Word, internet access (preferably high speed) and a foot pedal. A deposit of $100 is required to secure training material. This deposit will be returned to the student once the equipment is returned to Exact-Med/UTTC Transcription Training.
