Program Learner Outcomes

Graduates of UTTC ExactMed program will:

1.  Appreciate the value of diversity in verbal, written, and nonverbal communication.  Appreciate cultural difference and practices among healthcare professionals. 
2. Demonstrate ability to accurately transcribe medical reports as set out by industry standards according to Association of Health Documentation and Integrity (AHDI).
3. Demonstrate ethical, sensitive, and respectful communication techniques with peers, supervisors, and other medical professionals. 
4. Demonstrate critical analysis within the context of the medical report.   
5. Develop medical transcription skills and entry-level competencies.
6. Implement health and safety standards and procedures by appling ergonomic principles.
7. Understand importance of lifelong learning.
